LAPPG Meeting (Los Angeles Post production Group)

ANNOUNCING NEW POST PRODUCTION GROUP ON THE WESTSIDE

June 1, 2008 – Santa Monica, CA. - The Los Angeles Post Production Group (LAPPG) will be meeting on Wednesday, June 11th at Allied Post Audio. This is a member driven organization for anyone with an interest or passion for film finishing and the post production process. It is an opportunity to have questions answered, advice given, stories and tips shared and lessons learned. This supportive community inspires its members to excel in the finishing process of all forms of digital content. The LAPPG is an open membership group and its members dictate what is of interest.

In this ever-changing technology based industry, the LAPPG enhances its members’ understanding and abilities in post finishing and broadens their overall knowledge and skills.

On the agenda for June’s meeting is a presentation from Creative Cow’s Color and Red Camera Community Moderator, Stuart Ferreyra. Stuart is Senior Colorist and Co-Owner of Timecode Multimedia in West Los Angeles, CA. Timecode Multimedia specializes in in color correction, finishing and mastering in SD, HD and 2K. A discussion of Production Audio Strategies for Post by Woody Woodhall, a supervising sound editor/sound designer and mixer and President of Allied Post Audio an award-winning audio post house for film, television, commercials and multimedia will follow.

The LAPPG meets the 2nd Wednesday of every month at 7:00pm. We respectfully request a voluntary $5 donation at the door. The meetings are located at Allied Post Audio - 1642 17th Street Santa Monica, CA 90404.
