Is it HD, HDV or SD? What aspect ratio should I use as we march towards the digital TV (DTV) transition? What's the workflow for uncompressed 4k Redcode raw? Transcode in Pro Res? Digital Intermediate? Should I res up or res down? Do I use cards, hard drives, tape or DVD? What are the basic tech requirements we need to stay in the game? Whether your project is for theatrical release, DVD,web or all-digital, you'll learn what capture, editing, compression and/or graphic technology advancements are reshaping our industry in 2008 and beyond. Panelists from Bay Area post-production houses will present basic information as well as big picture, so that you can make the best technological choices. You'll learn to ask critical questions in advance that will impact your workflow overview - from planning and production to post & distribution!
