Getting Started with Dreamweaver - Workshop

Time: 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm
Cost: $50 for BDA members, $70 for non-members

The Getting Started with Dreamweaver workshop from Boulder Digital Arts is a great introduction to what is considered by many as one of the best WYSIWYG HTML editors. Adobe Dreamweaver is known for functional and clean code while being easy to use. This workshop will familiarize participants with the user interface, explain how to setup and maintain "sites" and demonstrate techniques for creating basic HTML using common layout practices.

The workshop will cover:
- Defining a new site using the Dreamweaver site manager
- The Dreamweaver interface
- Short discussion on common layout techniques (tables/divs/etc.)
- Working with tables
- Introduction to CSS styles as used for almost everything BUT layout
- Adding text, links, and images
- Creating a Dreamweaver template, and then creating your HTML pages using it
- Previewing work in browsers
- Publishing work via FTP
