Getting Started with RED Digital Cinema - Workshop

The RED Digital Cinema camera is a 4K ultra-high definition camera with a native 35mm sensor which produces RAW digital video files. There has been a great deal of curiosity, hype, and speculation about this camera, which we will attempt to address with this class from Boulder Digital Arts. We will build a fully rigged RED Digital Cinema camera, hook it up to a monitor and explore its feature set, discuss the merits and costs of its RAW workflow, and take a look at several of the available options for post-processing the RAW footage files.
