Women’s Image Network (WIN) To Revive The WINFemme Film Festival The WIN Film Festival & The WIN Awards 2009
August 6, 2009 (Los Angeles) Women's Image Network will hold The WIN Film Festival around The WIN Awards an annual Hollywood event which honors released studio films and broadcast network shows that either feature a female protagonist or which are directed or produced by a woman.

The year 2009 marks WIN’s sixth (non-consecutive) film festival for The WIN Film Festival, which supports filmmakers who create dimensional female media images. A production of Women’s Image Network (WIN), The WIN Film Festival previously ran from 1999 through 2002 in Los Angeles and New York as The WINFemme Film Festival.

The Films:
WIN programs films which either depict dimensional female protagonists or films that are directed, written or produced by a woman. WIN selects shorts (20 minutes or less), documentaries or full-length narrative feature films.

Festival programmers project short, feature, documentary films either on 16mm, 35mm or DVD. The selection criterion includes films which feature female protagonists OR films that are written, directed OR produced by a woman.
